Use Z-BaSICä to estimate properties of specialty and fine chemicals. Z-BaSICä will estimate vapor pressure, heat of vaporization, critical temperature and pressure, liquid density, surface tension, viscosity, and other properties of pure materials. For mixtures, use Z-BaSICä, along with certain experimental data, to establish activity relationships to adjust Raoult's Law behavior to account for non-idealities. For liquid-liquid extraction, partition functions are developed. Property estimates and process behavior equations may be derived by Z-BaSICä at a fraction of the cost of synthesis, purification and empirical relationships developed from multiple laboratory measurements.
